All citizens of Rwanda are able to apply for a visa on arrival rather than in advance.

Citizens of countries that belong to the African Union, Commonwealth, and La Francophonie are entitled to free 30-day visas upon arrival in Rwanda.

For nationals of the member states of the East African Community, a pass/entry visa is provided free of charge upon arrival for a stay of six months in Rwanda.

Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore, and the State of Qatar are among the countries whose citizens are eligible to obtain free 90-day visas upon arrival in Rwanda.

Citizens of non-visa exempt nations may apply in person at the Rwandan Embassy in their home country or online prior to departure. Online candidates have the option of paying either online or in person when they get there. It is not allowed for a single associated agency to apply for a visa on your behalf.

The fee cannot exceed $50 for a single entrance visa and up to $70.00 for multiple entries.

Anybody entering Rwanda must have a valid visa. For instance, a visa for travel, business, education, a visit with relatives, fees, and so forth.

The procedures for applying for a visa are as follows.

Go to the Immigration Portal, log in, and choose “new application.”

Accept the disclaimer and its terms and conditions.

Choose the category, subcategory, and kind of visa or permission.

Fill out the application completely.

Upload the necessary files; an application ID with six digits, such as 234790123, is generated automatically as the reference number.

Pay for any applications that demand money in advance.

An acceptance letter will be prepared and issued to the applicant on the home page upon approval for applications that do not require top-up fees.

For applications that call for one, submit a top-up payment as soon as they are approved. An approval letter is prepared and sent to the client via email following payment.

Present yourself for biometric capture at the border or immigration office with your passport, payment receipts, approval letter, and all submitted paperwork.
