National Cyber Security Policy for Rwanda

Stephen Abbott Pugh made this Access to information request to Ministry of Information Technology and Communication

The request was successful.

From: Stephen Abbott Pugh

Dear Ministry of Youth and ICT,

I would like to ask for the following information under Law no
04/2013 of 08/02/2013 relating to access to information.

In March 2015, the cabinet of the Government of Rwanda met and
approved Rwanda's National Cyber Security Policy as minuted in the
following statement:
http://www.gov.rw/newsdetails2/?tx_ttnew...

Next week, the Transform Africa summit is taking place in Kigali
and there is a panel session focused on cyber-resilience:
http://transformafrica2015.org/program/p...

And in early November, the 84th Interpol General Assembly is taking
place in Kigali where one of the key areas of discussion is "the
different facets of cybercrime":

In order to help inform the public and those attending these events
about this threat and how the Government of Rwanda is tackling the
challenge of cyber security, could you please provide me with a
copy of the National Cyber Security Policy?

Yours faithfully,

Stephen Abbott Pugh
